Abstract

Voluntary Counseling and Test (VCT) or HIV examination is a collaboration between the D III Midwifery Study Program and the Depok 1 Puskesmas and Maguwoharjo Village as PKMD PBLKK Land Partners in DAY activities with Respati. VCT is a screening of HIV in the first step of the PPIA program (prevention of HIV transmission to mothers to children) or PMTCT (Preventive Mother to Child Transmission). The short -term goal of this activity is to know the status of HIV in women of childbearing age (WUS) so that a follow -up plan can be carried out based on the results of the test. The long -term objective of this activity is to support efforts to reduce the morbidity and mortality of mothers and children, especially in the prevention of HIV AIDS with a decrease in the incidence of HIV AIDS. This Abdimas activity was carried out at Campus 2 of the University of Respati Yogyakarta on Saturday, February 20, 2020. The target of this community service activity was a woman aged 15-49 years in the village of Maguwoharjo Depok Sleman DIY as many as 16 people, with the target of knowing HIV status so that if proven positive it could be positive Efforts to prevent HIV transmission from mother to child to break the number of transmission. The results of abdimas activities, namely all participants get negative or non -deactivated results against the HIV virus. In conclusion, not all hamlets participate in VCT activities, so it takes the participation of all community leaders, especially Hamlet and Health Cadres who cooperate with the Puskesmas in motivating the community to conduct VCT.
